How to present technical experience in a first enquiry

Job titles are a start. Machines, tasks and working conditions show what you really know.

Name the tasks you performed

Go beyond the job title. Describe fault finding, welding a particular material, installing services or operating a machine. Name equipment types and settings such as a workshop, live factory or construction site.

Separate experience from certificates

Explain how long you performed each kind of work, then list current licences or certificates separately. You do not need to send every document in a first message, but it helps to know which evidence you can provide later.

Give realistic availability

State your earliest possible start date, regions where you can work, working languages and limits on shifts or travel. This helps avoid conversations about projects that cannot fit your circumstances.

Discuss conditions before deciding

Ask about the task, location, hours, pay, travel, accommodation, equipment and contracting party. Request a site contact. A clear conversation helps both sides assess the project.
